Title: Tindaya - Los Podomorfos
Post by: TamaraEnLaPlaya on December 05, 2015, 23:48:04 PM
Great meals at reasonable prices in a great location. We went at lunchtime and had a goat burger and an Aberdeen Angus steak burger and home made chips. I had been warned by friends that their alcohol prices can be on the steep side - make sure you specify House wine unless you want to pay the price for a specific vintage.
Looking forward to going back and trying some other choices from the menu: perhaps Canarian stew, perhaps lasagne cabra, perhaps ............
I don't know the address but if you are driving through Tindaya village and heading towards the coast it is on your far right, one of the closest buildings to the foot of the mountain - it stands on it's own and if you are in the vicinity you can't miss it!
Open 11am - 11pm with kitchen closing at 10.30pm Tues - Sat, earlier on Sundays (8pm?). Closed Mondays. Seating inside or out.

Lasagna cabra superb flavour, served with a garnish of salad - if you have an appetite you probably need a side order of chips. The burgers are served with a garnish  ;D of (about 6) chips,  so again you might want to order some more.
Coulant de chocolate (chocolate muffin filled with melted chocolate) was gorgeous, served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

Next time I'm going to try the Coconut Prawn wigwam with sweet & sour mojo - sounds interesting!

We ate here again this afternoon, still very good although 2 specialities were sold out: Goat stew and Goat Lasagna. Had the Goat burger - gorgeous!
Glad we had booked as they were quite busy. The phone number is 928 865 578 and they speak English.

Edit: just reread my previous posts and realised I had forgotten to try the coconut prawn wigwam, such a shame as I'll have to go back again........

Hooked on this place, now our regular eatery. Needed comfort food this evening to counter the cold winds: the goat stew and warm welcome certainly did the job.

As originally recommended by Tamara, we have been many times for lunch.  We went a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed our goat burger and chilli goat with baked potato.  We appreciated the background music as ever which was a diverse mix of Latin, reggae, jazz and blues etc.  And to top it off wonderful views of a very special Tindaya mountain. Recommended.
