There are a few changes taking place at the FP which have not been widely publicised yet.
1. All inclusive is now available as an option when booking. AI guests must wear a gold wristband for meal and bar services. AI lunch is taken in the La Choza restaurant, not the main restaurant which remains closed between breakfast and dinner.
2. The hotel has introduced a new "PLATINUM" service in conjunction with a German tour operator which is causing some confusion because it is nothing to do with Thomson's existing "Platinum" service! The German Platinum guests are given a silver wristband, their own separate dining area in the main restaurant, and accommodation blocks 1-3 have been reserved for them with key entry through locked gates. I understand the rooms have been upgraded slightly (eg flat screen TV's!). These are the blocks at the top of the site nearest the main building but furthest from the pools and beach. However a new pool has been created inside the gated area for Platinum guests.
3. The hairdresser's shop was closed when we were there, and the "supermarket" was reduced in size. Shopfitting work was on-going in both units.
The wristbands mentioned above are only required for bar and meal services - all other facilities incl the naturist pool and sauna areas are still available to all guests.
