Hello Linda, welcome to the forum.
I have a Tefal Actifry and I use any variety of potato, whatever is in the shops (normally Mercadona) at the time. Some take a little longer and some don't colour up or crisp quite as nicely, but they all taste good! I have found I get the best results if I cut the chips or roasties about 30 minutes before I want to cook them and soak them in a bowl of water to remove some of the starch, then dry them well before cooking.
