The cabildo of fuerteventura on its plenary sesion dated 31 st july has unanimously agreed on the following terms,
1 To insist to the new Canarian government to modify the decree 113/2015 of 22 of may , approving the regulation of holiday rentals in the cabary islands so that is allows holiday rentals in touristic areas and includes the terms approved by the motion about regukation of holiday rentals ( Sl/m-0038) passed by the canarian parliament 24 ofApril of 2015.
2 to adopt all necessary measures to stop the application of decree q13/2015 and its possible sanctioning processes.
This is very good news for all the holiday rentals owners. But the battle hasnt finished yet, the ASCAV ( asosiocion of holiday rental owners ) are real.y doing a very good lobby .
The last thing to say is still the same , I still would love to see the first person with a licence. Please dont pay and wait , things will change.
p.s I will letyou all know asap for the meeting.

Thanks WOE10, this article is about the same petition but this time at local municipal level. All the ayuntamientos agree also to ask the canarian government to change the law . Still looking forward for the first lawyer ( who asked 450 euros ) or first real estate agent with a licence for holiday rentals. Please dont believe them. Things will change but the battle is long , will inform you all.

This is increasingly interesting the more i hear Eduard.

I wondered how long it would be before someone worked out how much the islands stand to lose.

Today I heard off house owners of GAUDI ( in el castillo) who have people ( Lawyers, real estate ) saying that they will cheque their house . To see if they need to put an extra lamp or bed in their house to get the license. They also showed me that the cabildo gave them a paper for the license. Again I say the same thing , dont believe these people. The paper you have is the form where you ask for a license . Is not the license and nobody knows exactly what you must have in your house as furniture. The real estate agents or lawyers just want to make money out of you . We are preparing the reunion and will tell you when, where and how. For the moment i havent seen any license yet and I am still waiting. Dont trust them please .

Article 10 of the regulation specifies the minimum requirements for furnishings in a vivienda vacacional.

Exactly Esty, if you read well this new law, you will first off all see that you cannot rent in turistic zones like El castillo, costa calma, corralejo etc so thats why the law must be changed before you ask people to see what furniture they have. And more then anything , you ask money for this . I ask you again show me the first official lisence and you wont hear me again.

Hi just wondered if any news re letting licences as all seems to have gone quiet. Last I heard, regulations had been withdrawn for review and re-issue. Is that the case? Anyone know what's happening pl?

I know of 2 properties on Las Salinas Golf that have the Vv licence displayed on their properties, this was in September and I am told there is one on Gaudia in Caleta.

A friend of mine is in the process of applying for one in Caleta and it seems to be being processed.

Applications are still being processed even though the law is under review.

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]

I didn't invest heavily in a property to enjoy to have chavs ruin my quality time. The first licence next to me will be the first that will have to defend themselves in the EU Courts.  >:(

Might have been a better idea then to invest heavily somewhere that wasn't a magnet for the chavs you so obviously despise. Along with a few others on here who seem to have a very high opinion of themselves and an equally very low opinion of the the chavs who keep the islands economy afloat. :P
