El Cotillo... It looks like another dry sunny blustery day ahead, with gusts up to 40 km/h this morning. Hopefully the forecast is correct, and the wind eases this afternoon (similar to yesterday). Temperatures should be in the low 20's. feeling warmer if in the sun and out of the wind. Visibility still affected by calima, but predicted to clear for a few days midweek.

Tides:
Low   4:37AM   0.65m        First Light   7:22AM
High   10:47AM   2.06m     Sunrise   7:47AM
Low   5:03PM   0.58m        Sunset   6:17PM
High   11:17PM   2.16m     Last Light   6:43PM

6.30am Checked outside: Clear sky with bright stars, only a very slight breeze (palm fronds slightly swaying by the football ground), calm sea. Temperature 18c.

8.30am Tamara, your wish seems to have come true! The forecast for strong winds this morning hasn't happened. I have just returned from the naturist lagoons, which were remarkably still and wind free.

El Cotillo ... 4.15pm Sat typing this by the lagoons, looking out to sea, warm, sun shining and a gentle breeze. It has been a perfect beach day. The forecast is similar for tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Tindaya - a gorgeous day, not a cloud to be seen until some light feathery bits at teatime. The breeze had 'playful notes', different strengths, different directions, all day, but none of it too strong. A stray bit of cloud cut off the sun as it was setting:

El Cotillo... The outlook is for another fine day, with a moderate breeze. Temperatures should reach the high teens to low 20's. Expect a calm sea, with a swell and wave height around 0.5m - 1m.  Water temperature 19c. Again, a good beach day, expect this spell of fine weather to break tomorrow.

Tides:
Low   5:35AM   0.54m        First Light   7:22AM
High   11:44AM   2.15m     Sunrise   7:47AM
Low   5:55PM   0.51m        Sunset   6:18PM
                                           Last Light   6:44PM

7.45am There is some cloud this morning with dew on the terrace, very little breeze. 17c. Hopefully the cloud will burn off during the morning.

11.45am Just returned from a cool cloudy start on the naturist lagoons. Now cloud free, sunny, and very breezy. Should be fine in a pod.

Yesterday pretty much as forecast, temp reached 25 C around 15:00 wind eased to a gentle breeze, but once again after sunset got cold very quickly.

Caleta 08:00

A somewhat cloudy start.

But looking N/ East from where the weather is coming, much more promising.

Temp. 18 C

Sky. Cloudy overhead and to the east, clear elswhere.

Wind N / Easterly 16/18.

Humidity 63%

Visibility good.

Sea 3/4 ft waves.

Forecast:- Temp to reach low 20,s sky to clear. wind to move Northerly by late evening but not to change strength. and as MLA says tomorrow will change in as much as there will be a lot more cloud, making it obviously feel cooler.

El Cotillo... It has been blowing all day. After a cloudy start it started to clear about 11.30am and has remained cloud free and sunny. Out of the wind and in the sun the temperature was 31c. Went swimming which after the initial shock, was remarkably pleasant, temp 19c.

4.15pm Taken from our favourite pod.

Yesterday a pleasant enough day,Temp reached 23 C under a clearing sky, wind moved mid afternoon and increased slightly, but all in all a decent January day.

Caleta 08:00

The only thing worth photographing, the rst is cloud

Temp. 18 C.

Sky 85% Cloud.

Wind. Northerly 18/22 MPH

Humidity 58%

Visibility. Excellent.

Sea 4/5 Ft. waves

Forecast Cloud to increase through the day, Temp not to exceed 19 C wind to decrease slightly to 15/17. I do not see rain on the charts I use, but you never know.
This forecast appears to hold good for 4/5 days, but a chance of rain on and off all day tomorrow.

Yesterday, best forgotten, we saw no rain in Caleta, but I was trundling up to Antigua around 15:45, and a few drops landed on my windsreen.

Caleta 07:40

07:45

07:50

07:55

08:00

And one for WG

Temp. 18 C

Sky 15% cloud cover.

Wind NE 12/14 MPH

Humidity 51%

Visibility. Good.

Sea 3/1 Ft waves.

Forecast:- is for a brighter day than yesterday as MLA says, cloud will thicken from late morning, as the wind moves easterly around 15:00 and then S/easterly around 17:00, while at the same time easing to 3/8 Mph, there is a suggestion a spot or two of rain might accompany the thickening cloud, but not  a lot.

It is sunny and warm circa 21 C but very breezy, and visibility is deteriorating quite a bit.

I have just looked at some wind flow charts , and if you start a line 50/60 kmtre south of Layoune and trace it NNE through Cofete the wind South of that is NE. 14/16 Mph, another Calima i think

Tindaya - sunny, breezy and chilly start to morning. Not sure of midday weather but headed back from PdR early afternoon into nasty calima, high winds and thick dust, very poor visibility. Wind kept changing direction which was most disconcerting. Air still bad now, locals sniffing, coughing and sore throats!
