Got latest version of Apple TV V4 from Electron the other day.

First impression is that it is brilliant. It's not cheap, at â,¬199 (32Gb) or â,¬239 (64Gb), but it can then stream UK TV free.

It does need to run through a Smart DNS subscription such as Getflix, this allows you you to download UK apps such as BBC iPlayer and stream UK TV - Getflix subscription is as little as £2 monthly.

There is also now a native TVPlayer app in the TV Appstore which allows you to get free live streams of all of the most common UK channels.

Beyond that, if you want channels such as History (to stream Vikings), Hulu, or other US content, then you can also switch to the different countries in Appstore, download the relevant Apps, and you then have those Apps permamently available on your system irrespective of which country you switch back to - so you can mix and match content from any country - as long as you have an iTunes account for each country in order to first download the necessary Apps.

Step by step instructions on how to do the above is here: http://bit.ly/1TYYagO

The remote is a brilliant bit of geeky tech, it's Siri enabled - so you press the Siri button, ask it for example "Top shows on Netflix" at which point Siri gives you icons for the top shows such as Homeland, Breaking Bad, etc,. Also understands commands such as Resume, Play from start etc,.

Finally, games - you can even download game Apps such as Real Racing 3 and then use your motion-enabled Siri remote (or your iPhone or iPad as additional controllers for multi-player) as the steering wheel  8)

As said, the initial purchase is not cheap, but it's a very slick toy for getting your fix of unlimited free TV content from pretty much any country in the world, as well as games and other edutainment Apps.

The above isn't intended as a comprehensive review, I'm just letting others that might be considering getting one, that it works as a viable and effective UK TV option here in Fuerte.
