Vodafone UK or other networks

I am relocating to Fuerteventura later this year, did anyone take their Vodafone or other networks mobile phone number with them from the UK.

Yes but you only get so many weeks/months per year to enjoy no roaming charges, wont be viable to use as the main mobile, best to keep and use occasionally and buy a Spanish sim to use all the time

Thanks Globetrotter, when you say use occasionally, do you mean with a UK PAYG sim card. Any tips on which Spanish Sim to use.

I use an Orange payg sim out there (bought there) that works out fine for me

Maybe the 3 Mobile service would be of benefit with the”feel at home” feature enabling you to use your UK Mobile in Fuerte as if you were in the UK. The only drawback is an additional charge if phoning a Spanish number
