Are there many of the stone shelters on jandia beaches ?thinking of trying for first time usually we go to correlego

No you need to walk north a fair bit a long the beach.

The area around the light tower is totally open. With high tide the water reaches far inland. You couldn't really build shelters. Worse if the tide turns it can rush in pretty quickly. A stone shelter near the water would actually be dangerous.

We've seen the loungers basically getting swamped .

If you refer to Jandia as the huge beach between Morro Jable and El Mattoral then there are no stone shelters. However on the rest of the Jandia  Peninsula along the Sotavento coast there are shelters on most parts of this beautiful coastline.
