look what they have done!  renamed The Occidental !! Now with Thomsons !

Look at prices ,all original facilities back but at a cost ,and its equally as dear for the Germans !

Hey Banz, you monologueing here. Why not - ensures intelligent chat.
We sussed out Magic Life in October-were staying at FP but no-one stopped us walking in, or rather down to it. The MagLife nude /FKK area is the spa and a bit more separate from the rest of the hotel than in the Princess hotels. But very well done- separate swimming pool and plenty of chairs. Overlooks the beach but you have to gaze over the wall to see it.
Found F Princess FKK  very busy & nearly as much English conversation as German- definitely been discovered by Brit Dare to be Bares- Thomson rides again. Prices up this year though. Never mind, only live once - roll on April.
Re Holly 99, C Calma still full of Italians as far as I could see- along the Pajara/Esmeralda end anyway. Dunno about shops- only hit the beach.Enjoy your trip.

Ta much Banz. Aaaaah- those sunny sands of Sotavento. No complaints about the home front weather though at the moment. Want to hit S'vento again in Sept -but hate the prices so far.

Our 8th visit but first as "Magic life",several former staff and a few recognisable guests,gardens/pools/public areas superbly kept, maid service superb, restaurant waiters etc all smart friendly ,happy and plentiful, the MaitreDe and Chefs could do with a personality transplant (with exception of one black guy and a female..these did smile).Food better than even when Occidental was at its best, largest selection ever, only criticism is that it seemed that more tables added making seating areas a bit congested.Didnt try Themed Restaurants as food so good in main one ,personally would like this to be open to 10pm as Occidental originally did .
The Entertainment /sports team presented immaculately ...so many and worked hard. Plaza Bar back to its happy fun place ,the occasional duo/singer a bit old hat but good atmoshere ,didnt use Theatre as this was resident performers ,but did have a peek and was well supported and seemed fairly good "if your cup of tea"! We miss the Tribute Bands that were had in the old days .Far more chairs and cushions around plaza but more cushions still needed . The food at main restaurant was so varied i cannot see how anyone would not be impressed, but the Pool Bar has minimal snacks ,ok for us at lunchtime but could do with a bit more on offer, this area was kept much better than before.
The reception/entertainers/bar persons had a much greater understanding of English than before, although a large German presence as was normal, plenty of other Nationalities inc English . On arrival the check in takes minutes only and although our room key didnt work and the room wasnt a high floor as requested with Thomson, the reception were obliging and changed our room after a couple of hours ,similar for another couple ,no hesitation in saying they would try and help !...totally different from old days.
Naturist area now only accessed through Spa but well kept ,tidy and Steam Room and Sauna now working at full temperature ,shame they do turn power off around 7pm as advertised (so they close spa at 8pm) could do with another 45 mins this time of year.
Lifeguard keeps pools clean and area free from rubbish ,but main Lifeguard  could do with an injection of charisma ! Bins and Pool areas constantly being emptied and rubbish collected till 8pm at least.Beach was as appealing as ever ,although quieter first week than usual.Maintainance team swiftly carry out repairs .
Hotel Clients were a mix of ages and a mix of sporties and others ...all in all a good relaxing atmosphere, the disco every night 12am till 2am could do to be more varied ,was playing club type music and within 30 mins very few stayed ,the times we went there was female DJ's and personally think male would be better.
The entertainment around main Pool would mean its noisy but ideal for families liking fun atmosphere ,there are plenty of other places away from this available ,near sports pool always quiet as are childrens pools, and of course Naturist Pool. Was a pleasure to meet friendly people and price/flights depending..we will be back !

Hi to Dave & Cheryl from Banzai !
