Title: La Marea Restaurant on the sea side of Corralejo + Map
Post by: suendrob on October 24, 2013, 10:58:44 AM
This is on the sea side of Corralejo Beach Hotel, facing right on to the prom.
We found this place last year and had lunch, which was very good and reasonable value. We went past the next evening and it was full up. We'd been looking forward to an evening meal there this year, even though the prices are much higher than lunchtimes.
It was really quiet this, only about 7 tables sold. One waitress seated us and took our drinks order. Soon another girl came over to offer drinks just as the first one delivered them! This went on all evening with them competing over everything. We had a starter to share, and we'd  barely started eating when the mains arrived, so they had to go back! When we got them again, we got lasagne instead of Sue's spaghetti bolognaise, though mine was right. It would have been her second choice, so We accepted it rather than let it spoil our evening by waiting for more. Both meals we fine, but distinctly unexciting. It was probably the most expensive meal of the holiday and quite disappointiing. Perfect location, but unless they get better cooking and service we won't be going back. If it looks busy, they're good, if it's quiet it means people have tried it and voted with their feet.

This year we walked past twice in the evenings and twice in daytime.
Hardly any tables sold at all. That told us all we needed to know. Keep walking past!!!
