El Cotillo... An almost clear sky, with only a few clouds over the sea. Sun shining and feeling warm. Temperature currently 21°C expected to reach the mid 20's later. Breezy with NNE winds around 22 knots, gusting up to 30 knots.

Over to the other side of the island later to visit the Salt Museum, then travelling south. Will report weather conditions on our return.

El Cotillo... Blowing a hooley here! Sun shining 26°C. Calima. Just returned from a visit to the Salt Museum and a late lunch in Gran Tarajal. Warmer on that side of the island today. 30°C in Gran Tarajal.

Yesterday was dominated by the wind, although Temp reached 32 C the wind also reached 32/35 MPH, and made it feel cooler, unless you could find shelter, also very oppressive in doors.

Wind Northerly 22/24 MPH

Humidity 62%

Visibility Good

Sea 6/8 Ft waves

Forecast:- Wind to ease as day goes on Most of the cloud to clear, and Temp to reach mid 20,s wind to move N/easterly over night and ease to virtually nothing by first light.

It is now 09:45 most of cloud has cleared wind is N/E around 16/18 MPH temp is 22 C

El Cotillo... The outlook is for a warm sunny day. The wind has died down overnight. Looking at wind speed terminology, today's north westerly wind should only be slightly more than a gentle breeze, around 12 knots. Temperatures expected, low to mid 20's.

Yesterday was very much as forecast, Temp reached 29 C mid afternoon, but the haze persists although we were near La Lajita yesterday afternoon, and there was little or no haze there.



Today 07:30

A right start. with some moisture on the terraces the first for 5/6 days. and the haze is still with us, we have not seen the horizon for the best part of a week.

Sky Clear but hazy

Wind N/W 1/3 MPH

Humidity 71%

Visibility Good

Sea 5/6 Ft waves.

Forecast: - A warm sunny day Temp to reach high 20,s low 30,s wind to increase slightly as day goes on but to max at 5/6 MPH.

It is now 09:30 Temp is 2 C and wind has increased slightly.

Yesterday was as forecast with the exception of the wind strength, which I got embarrassingly wrong wind started to pick up around 11:00 and by 16:00 was at 20/25 MPH and that continued until well after sunset.

Today 07:30

A grey start, but the haze has lifted and you can now see the horizon.

Sky 95% cloud

Wind NW 10/12 MPH

Humidity 70%

Visibility Excellent

Sea 3/4 Ft waves

Forecast:- A mix of cloud and sun, temp to reach low to mid 20,s wind to increase 16/18 MPH.

Yesterday A really nice day, Temp reached 33 C in the sun, although the wind strengthened early evening and after sunset it was a little chilly.

A mixed start.








Temp 20 C

Sky overhead end to south and west 35% cloud cover, but to the north 100% cloud cover.

Wind N/w 13/15 MPH

Humidity 59%

Visibility Excellent

Sea  2/3 Ft swell

Forecast T cloud over as the day goes on and remain cloudy for most of the day wind to ease early afternoon  to 8/10 MPH temp to reach low 20,s,

It is now 09:30 there is now a lot more cloud,Temp is now 22 C, forecast for mext 4/5 days is similar,

 I fear " The Curse Of Windermere " May be upon us  ::) ::)

As we came in to land I said John R would say WG has returned !! with all this cloud.

Late afternoon and evening has been quite pleasant.

Good morning Forum friends my first weather post for this trip

Last nights sunset quite dramatic -



This morning 18c on the patio and 24c in the lounge very little wind compared to yesterday afternoon, no condensation this morning.

Forecast cloud coming in from the north but due to clear from lunchtime for the afternoon, however there is a chance of a shower about 6pm.  Temperature up to 24c mid afternoon UV factor of 10 @1-2pm
Wind up to 24km/h from NNE to N during day and moving N to NNW this evening.

Yesterday turned out as forecast if not better it was a lovely afternoon and evening temps in the direct sun in the high 30c's and at 7pm still 29c

This morning 7.20am 19c on the patio and 24c in the lounge very little wind & no condensation.

Forecast for today not so good, sorry if I am spoiling it for you John R. The cloud will thicken as the morning progresses with full cloud cover 12noon to 4pm then breaking up and best part of day forecast to be about 7pm.
Temperature up to 24c at 1pm and a UV factor of up to 4 @11am to 2pm
Wind up to 28km/h from N most of day and moving NNW this evening.

Turned out slightly better than forecast the full cloud cover didn't materialise and when the sun came through it was warm, has been breezy this afternoon so golf has been interesting but enjoyable. Heavy cloud blowing in from the NW at the moment and wind has picked up.

As I have already mentioned the full cloud cover yesterday afternoon did not materialise and sun through the breaks in the clouds was hot.
