Much warmer today. Last night's wind from the southeast continued this morning, although much gentler, giving a lovely day. There were some periods of dense cloud cover and poor visibility but the afternoon was gorgeous. A quick trip over to Puerto this morning had me leaving bright sun behind and descending into a grey smog over Puerto - I hightailed it back to the west pretty quickly!

Caleta.

Yesterday.

Not as cloudy a day as expected, the wind did pick up as forecast, but as it is coming from the Soth East, feels less chilly than the prevailing wind on The Island. The forecast 100% cloud cover did not materialise, although looking South East at 19:00 the cloud build up was obvious.

18:15

Today.

07:15.

Temp is 18 C with a light South Easterly wind 5/6 Mph.

08:00

A slight improvement, a splash of very watery sun.

Temp. 19 C.

Wind . 5/6 Mph.

Humidity. 73%.

Visibility. Very Good.

Sea. A 2/3 ft swell.

UV. 4.

Forecast:- A cloudy day temp to reach mid 20,s wind to increase 15/16 Mph through the day, but moderate again 6/8 Mph early evening.

Tindaya - just had a flash of lightning and a few spots of rain, checked the forecast for tonight and there is a 50% chance of rain between now and 6am. The weather radar app shows quite a few showers moving north through the Canaries.

The wind continued in Tindaya with just a few minutes of relief here and there. Moved around between SE, S & SW. Back to SE now. Has stayed very warm in the evening/night though for the time of year.
There has been an amazing display of lightning out at sea (to the WNW of Tindaya) all evening. It has appeared red, perhaps due to the dust in the air?

Gorgeous bright start to the day in Tindaya although by mid morning cloud could be seen starting to build up to the east and north. It stayed hot all day and the cloud really came to nothing until teatime. For a change the breeze stayed moderate to calm after a blustery start. Still warm as I type.

Highlight today was seeing GC for a while late afternoon:
