Tindaya & Corralejo - a cloudy and windy (Easterly) start in Tindaya. In Corralejo by mid morning where the cloud was clearing and it was becoming very pleasant although still windy. Back in Tindaya by lunchtime and we had the best afternoon we've had for a long time. Lovely and hot in the sun despite the continuing gales (E/NE). Cloud starting accumulating again around teatime and temperature dropped sharply after sunset.

Tindaya - started with full cloud cover and apart from a couple of short periods of broken cloud that's how it stayed. The wind was savage all day varying between E and N and very chilly. Bit of rain in the wind a couple of times.

Turned into a pleasant afternoon with clear skies and the wind is down to more normal levels. Lets hope it stays that way.   8)

Was pretty chilly last night in the strong breeze.  :-[

Tindaya - yet again solid grey cloud cover to start the day. By mid morning it was starting to clear and we had a pretty sunny afternoon/early evening. The wind however continued to blow very strong and chilly (NE) so temps never reached their potential. Once more the sun disappeared behind a solid bank of cloud out to the west rather then 'setting'. Around midnight we had a light horizontal shower due to wind strength.

Yesterday again pretty much as forecast, temps in the mid 20,s but as has become the norm, a chilly N/Easterly wind made it feel cooler, ut as Deso has said the wind did ease somewhat mid-afternoon, but by 19:00 when the photo,s were taken it was back to 20/22 Mph.

19:00

Thermometer showing 25C but do not be fooled :(

Temp. 19 C

Wind. N/Easterly. 15/16 Mph.

Visibility. Very Good.

Humidity. 75%

Sea. a 3/4 ft swell.

UV.9.

Forecast:- A similar day to yesterday with slightly less wind, cloud to clear through the morning, leaving an almost cloudless sky through the afternoon, temps to reach mid 20.s C wind to remain around 15/16 Mph.

Tindaya - started with a lot of cloud but it soon started to clear leaving a largely bright sunny day. Very hazy in the distance. The wind was almost non existent until mid morning when it picked up again (NE) although it didn't get as bad as recent days. Some cloud moved in again early evening and as has been the recent pattern the sun 'set' behind a bank of cloud.

Yesterday, another day that was pretty much as forecast. cloud cleared temps reached mid 20,s, but unlike Tindaya the wind was almost constant through the day and got slightly more blustery around 19:00, but the sky was clear until after sunset.

16:30

20:00

Thermometer still showing 24 C.

Today. 08:15

Another grey start.

Temp. 20C.

Wind. N/Easterly 14?15 Mph

Humidity. 61%.

Forecast:- A similar day to yesterday, although cloud might take longer to clear the best part of day 14:00- 19:00, Temp in the mid to high 20,s but as is the norm wind to stay in the mid-teens.

One site is forecasting The wind to ease from early afternoon Friday and The Wind speed to stay in single figures until Tuesday or Wednesday. ;D

Tindaya & Corralejo - morning started cloudy again although soon started to break. Wind had moderated overnight. Large banks of cloud still around most of the day but by and large hot and sunny. Very little wind in Corralejo which I left around 3.30pm. Arriving back in Tindaya around 4pm it was very windy! Not sure if this had just developed or had been the case since morning. Still lovely and warm in the sun despite the wind until about 7.30pm. Sun went down behind cloud bank, again. Wind has just eased back again at midnight.
Hope the pics appear - I can just see little crosses in this reply and all previous entries in this post.

Tindaya - solid cloud start again but it cleared quite quickly today.  A very pleasant day but still the strong cold wind either N or NE. Actually got a sunset today as the bank of cloud was suspended just above the horizon for a change!

Tindaya - low grey cloud, again, and breezy. Rain drops in the air although it didn't come to anything. Cloud started breaking mid-morning while we were in Puerto but it never really cleared fully. Full cloud cover and rain in the air again during the evening. No visible sunset. Breeze increased again during the day, at one point it was pretty strong and from NW, back to N again now. Night temps have been consistently 15C, day temps lucky to reach 20C (shade).

Yet another day that went very much as forecast, the cloud cleared by late morning, giving us a cloudless afternoon, temp in mid 20,s, wind as forecast 11/13 Mph. unlike Tindaya there was no suspicion of rain at any time, and the wind felt less chilly than it has been.

Today.

08:00

A grey start looking east, almost complete cloud cover, but looking West and North probably around 50/50

Temp. 21 C.

Wind. Northerly 10/12 Mph.

Humidity 70%

Visibility. Excellent

Sea. A 1/2 ft swell.

UV. 9.

Forecast:- The cloud to clear by late morning again leaving a cloudless afternoon, temps in the mid 20.s.

A couple of sites are forecasting a less windy weekend wind speeds in single figures, one can only hope.

Tindaya & Corralejo - a grey start in Tindaya again but little wind - hooray! Over to Corralejo and the cloud was breaking up by 10am, little if any wind over here as well. A gorgeous day developed although still with a fair amount of cloud around. Back to Tindaya at teatime and still very little wind! A small light plane has been up and down the coast the last couple of teatimes, a great day for it! A lot of cloud had moved in by 'sunset' - it looked for 10 mins as if we might see the sun set through a gap in the clouds, but the clouds prevailed and on a light NW breeze actually brought some drizzle. Betancuria looked as if it caught more than us.

Tindaya - a nice bright start with only a gentle breeze however the clouds soon all joined up again. Stayed reasonably warm all day with the occasional gusty period, from NE to NW and back. A lot of the cloud cleared for a couple of hours early evening but it was mainly back again by sunset. Drizzling at the moment.

Reasonably warm (wrapped up in long trousers, T shirt, sweatshirt, gilet, woolly hat etc  ;D, those who know me also know that I'm not joking here!).
