This restaurant which has been closed for approximately the last 3 years has now recently re-opened and we visited for the first time last night. It is situated at the new harbour as the name suggests.

We were made very welcome by the new French owner Pepe.  Although it was a limited menu with a choice of three types of fresh fish, we were very impressed with our choice of sea bass and sea bream,  and many fresh vegetables and also the presentation of the dishes.

The actual interior was very traditional, with high ceilings and a tranquil feel, and we are looking forward to our next meal there, especially as the last couple of restaurants we have dined at in El Cotillo were a disappointment.

So what restaurants did you visit and how were they disappointing ?

Your question is relative, but we chose to use the forum for a positive experience as we can all appreciate that you can catch any restaurant on an off day for whatever reason.
Perhaps we have been unlucky in the past with being incorrectly overcharged, poor presentation and with overcooked food.  But our disappointing  experiences have not solely been in Cotillo.
