This is where you can ask questions; answer questions; and give advice and information about Caleta de Fuste.

Hi guys and gals.we're going to Caleta in June, and due to the Mrs having a back op, we're going to be hiring the beach sunbeds and a brolly. How much do they cost please.

I believe they are 3 euros each for the day, with the brolly been optional.

Thanks for that. Quite expensive then 130 euros for the fortnight. But we do love the beach

The price last Summer was 9 euros for a brolly and 2 sunbeds; but in the Autumn the price went up to 10.50 :o

It's cheaper to buy 2 fold up beds and a brolly from a Chinese shop ;) :D

The sunbeds on the beach behind the Atlantica are much cheaper than on the main beach. I don't rent them so can't remeber the exact price. But Cap is correct go to the Chinese shop and buy them it will still be cheaper

I personally prefur the beach there. It's made of small coves and when the tide is out the water gats warmer than on the main beech

There is an enclosure down by the Pirate ship in the harbour, you can pay to swim with them and they will even kiss you. Don't know how much it costs though

Hi guys in your opinions, where's best in Caleta for a Chinese meal( not necessarily a buffet type). Also is there a decent Indian restaurant. Thanks

I'm not great fan of chinese there are a few Chinese restuarants I have been recomended there a few  called slowboat or Slowboat II but the better one is supposed to be the letf hand one upstairs in the complex opposite The Caleta Gardens hotel. Although it tends to be a buffet style you can also choose raw items to be cooked. I'm told the best night to go is Saturday.

I have only tried two Indians they are a quite expensive compared to here. There is one if you go past Caleta Gardens with it on your left past the row of shops next to Villa Florida. I think it's called Resturant 22. I thought the curry was very good. The only other I tried is a new one in the Atlantica shopping centre. Although the staff were very friendly and the service was excelent the curry was too salty for my liking. Also the resturant was an old sandwich bar so it doesn't really have the ambiance of an Indian restuarant,

Thanks Trumpy, will probably give the Indian a miss then, but go for the Chinese.

Best indians are in Corrie, Amber & Jaipur

Agreed Can, Prefer Jaipur though. Both next to each other turn right of the main strip at La Caixa bank.

Hi difgringo.

There are a few nice eating places in Costa Calma.
Our Favourite is the "Copa" and is behind the petrol station at the top of the ring road.
Another is the Arena in the shopping centre just up from the Sunrise Palace Hotel.
Some good meals also in the Jardin Gardens right next to the inner road roundabout

Hope this helps, but if you need any further advise or directions, please don't hesitate to get back to me and I will supply screen shots and maps

Kenny

Has anybody been to the casino near the atlantico centre, hubby wants to go, do you need to get dressed up? And do they do a decent meal?

Preferably before End of October  ;D

Does anyone know if the direct bus from Caleta to Corralejo via the airport with no changeover in Rosario is running yet. Thanks
Title: Re: Caleta de Fuste - Advice and Information
Post by: Captain Sensible on May 29, 2017, 12:26:41 PM
No there isn't a direct bus. I don't think it has ever been planned.

There are now buses every 30 mins between Corralejo and Puerto and Puerto and Caleta, between Mon and Fri, so the connection is better.

Hear there has been a bad crash at Gran Tarajal.
How about doing lockdown updates for us on here Steve, until it gets hijacked.
