Title: Football Season 2017/18
Post by: Captain Sensible on June 14, 2017, 10:02:28 AM
The Premier League fixtures are out.
The Foxes have a difficult start to the season - Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool in the first 6 games.
The run-in looks easier on paper, which might be important.
We play at Wembley on Sunday 13 May ;).

0-0 at Milton Keynes for a second looking team, and then a 1-0 defeat at Wolves yesterday for a first looking team.  Creating chances and scoring are a problem.  They go to Burton on Tuesday.

They were very wasteful - Sissoko is useless. The only good thing last night was having Lamela back.

Our passing was sloppy giving the ball away too easily, think we will finish up mid table - we have 38 away games this season.

Please Steve your 2 horse race joke is getting a bit stale now.

My lot were poor against City, miss Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama. We seem to have lost the energy we had the last two seasons, think Wembley is draining them. Would have been interesting if the ref had given a red for the boot in Harry`s face, I think that was a dangerous as an arm but the refs are not allowed to upset Pep.

Arsenal had two offside goals against us it all evens out over the season.

Sanchez first yellow was very soft he touched Ayew on the shoulder and he went down like a sack of spuds.

Son was tripped in the area and Dele was pushed - so denied two penalties.

Pitch was like a potato field

Guardiola, Mourinho, Pochettino, Klopp and Wenger in the pub. Guardiola buys a round of Sangrias and they all enjoy a drink. Then Mourinho goes to the bar and buys a round of red wines. Next Poch goes up and buys a round. When it's Klopp's turn he buys 4 beers. Wenger says "Excusez moi Monsieur Klopp but where is my beer?" Klopp says, sorry this is the 4th round; you're not in it ;D

We didn't park the bus! ;)

All the mentioned players are good enough players, without having to resort to theatrics and trying to con the officials. I don't believe it's a coincidence that Alli has had a relatively poor season compared to last, since the introduction of the cynical side to his game.

The pundits are a bunch of hypocrites, a couple of weeks ago Harry Winks got clipped in the area but he carried on a missed the target - they criticised him for not going down and winning a penalty. You can't win. Deli is not a cheat he just has a problem with his balance like Sterling, Hazzard, Zaha and a load of others when anyone breathes on them.

We always lose to one of the relegated sides. Still think West Brom will be relegated. They won`t be missed as they are more boring than Arsenal

Why did Arsenal sell Giroud - saved Chelsea's season and will condemn us to the Europa League next year

A 3-1 over Arsenal tonight so things look a bit more positive.  We'll definitely finish 9th now.
A trip to Wembley on Sunday to play Del Boy Kane, Diver Ali etc.

Puel Out!

This made me smile ;D -
Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris said qualifying for the Champions League next season "means more than a trophy".

How many would agree with him? :P

Personally I prefer qualifying for the Champions League over winning the FA Cup.  It should help retain the players we want to keep and attract players that we want to buy.  A few years ago when we came 4th we had Hazard and Mata lined up to join us then Chelsea took our place by winning the Champions league and poached the players as well.
Looking forward to an open game Sunday with no parked buses

It was a good game, every attack looked like it could end in a goal. When the 5 minutes added time came I thought it would end 5 all.
