Due to the increase in tourists using the bus service there will be more buses on Route 3 (Caleta/Puerto), Route 6 (Puerto/Corralejo) and Route 7 (Puerto/El Cotillo).
As from Tuesday 3rd January, the buses on Route 3 will run every 15 minutes between 09.45 and 18.15, instead of their previous 30 minutes.
Number 6 buses will run every 15 minutes between 07.00 and 16.00.

That's really good news, thanks.  Is there any change for the better for the Sunday service?

The Tiadhe site still appears to give the old timetables (as at time of posting).

This is a translation of the announcement that I had picked up and was about to post:
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Ministry of Transport, directed by José Roque Pérez, and the concessionaire of intercity passenger transport Tiadhe have agreed to increase the schedules and frequencies of some of the lines most used by users of this service to Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 3rd. Thus, line 03, which runs the route between Puerto del Rosario and Caleta de Fuste, increases its frequency with departures every 15 minutes, from 09.45 hours, until 18.15 hours.

Regarding line 06 (Puerto del Rosario-Corralejo), the first bus from Corralejo to the capital city will take place at 06.00 hours, increasing the hourly frequency every 15 minutes between 07.00 and 16.00 hours. It also highlights the new schedules from Corralejo to the hotels area and the departure at 15.00 hours from Puerto del Rosario to Corralejo.

Line 07 (Puerto del Rosario-Cotillo) is also improved with the incorporation of new schedules. In particular, the first departure from Puerto del Rosario to Cotillo is scheduled for 07.00 hours, while in reverse (from Cotillo to Puerto del Rosario) the first service will be provided from 08.00 hours.

"With this increase in the frequency of the bus service, the demand for users who, for labor reasons, requested an adaptation in the schedules of the bus lines, is met," said Cabildo president Marcial Morales.

At the same time, there has been an increase in the number of tourists who use public transport, so from the Ministry, and through a report prepared by the company Tiadhe, we assessed the time sections where the routes of lines 03 , 06 and 07 to "better adapt them to the needs of tourists and people working in those areas, but also for students who use the service on a daily basis," said Transport Minister José Roque Pérez.

So now we have a 3pm bus from Corralejo (1t was 14:30 and then a gap until 15:30).

But the "new schedules from Corralejo to the hotels area" sounds a bit odd!  Ideas anyone, or justa blip in translation

Snowdrop

Great news - but to make the corralejo service even better it needs more bus stops.   Sometimes it is better to walk due to the location of the respective few stops.

I asked a Spanish friend today and he said it was a new service to 'service the hotels and dune beaches' ready for when the main buses go on the motorway! We'll see........

Thanks, Tamara. That sounds promising. I was wondering what would happen when the coast road closes.
