Does anyone know how the electric company works out the bill?

I am away for 6 months and the electric is turned off and I still get charged!

Any advice? Cheers Bob.

Standing charge based on potencia contracted is about 12cents per day per KW;
Hence for a month and potencia of 5,75KW equates to 12c x 5,75 x 30 = 21 euros;

Add on a few euros for "extras";
To that add IGIC reduced of 3%;

So minimum bill would be approx 26 euros for 1 month.
That's before using any electricity.

5,75KW is for a normal family potencia in a normal house. Can be reduced should you not have many appliances, etc. This would reduce the bill.

You will always have a standing charge as you have a contract with them
