1800 People Evacuated In Tenerife Due To The Forest Fires

There has just been this goverment notice.

The direction of the INFOCA carried out the evacuation of Vilaflor, taking into account the evolution of the fire

The direction of the Canary Islands Plan of Civil protection and emergency response by forest fires (INFOCA), which holds the Minister of economy, finance and security of the Government of the Canary Islands, before the fire that it affects guide of Isora, Adeje and Vilaflor, is proceeding at the moment to evacuate residents of Vilaflor to the advance of the fire by the eastern flank.
 
The evacuation of some 1,800 neighbors is the road of Granadilla. For those who do not have means of transport (about 200 people), were prepared for three (two Titsa) and one municipal bus. The evicted will be installed in a hostel that has been enabled in the Pavilion of Granadilla. There are also fires on La Palma and La Gomera, with people being evacuated on both islands.

More than 300 fires ravage forests in Kenya, Tanzania, and the  the Congo  Republic effecting the ecosystem. They can be seen as red dots on this photo which was taken by NASA
