Buying Euros
« on: August 29, 2014, 12:24:22 pm »
Just got the spending money for our autumn trip. £1100 sterling @ 1.229 euro/£ at Thomas Cook. Part cash, part on to our Thomas Cook prepaid card.
'They' have been saying the rate will fall by autumn, and it's right - 1.24+ all summer, so now's the best time to buy before the rate drops any further.

Sadly they couldn't forecast what was going to happen....

Been a good day to buy Euros

Spot today for immediate was around 1.25(+/- 0.05) and got 1.26 for our apartment purchase  ;D

Even better, this time next week we'll be in FUE, probably in Hello Bar  :P
