Sotavento Coast

Hi - anyone been to the beaches between Costa Calma and Morro Jable recently? We were there end of November and witnessed some significant damage from the barrancos flooding and depositing large amounts of mud, stone and other debris on the beautiful white sands.

Have noticed that the weather through the winter period has often been wet and windy so wondering if the beaches have 'recovered'.

We're due back in 2 weeks and hope things are back to normal!!  8)

Don't worry. There's still plenty of beach and sand, although, as usual it's moved about a bit. The lagoon at Risco del Paso has stretched a little more southwards and the best bit is the sandy beach is back in front of the most southerly restaurants at Morro. All those pesky rocks are now submerged!
