Electric Bills
« on: November 27, 2017, 06:33:34 am »
Does anyone know how the electric company works out the bill?

I am away for 6 months and the electric is turned off and I still get charged!

Any advice? Cheers Bob.

You will still be charged the contract standing charge amount even if switched off at the main switch. It costs us approx 11 or 12€ per month with no use

a little on the late side but for anyone else looking, here are some figures from last time I checked, Electricity charges are:

Standing charges: "Potencia" contracted 5,75Kw + "contador" Meter rental: €0.73/day
Usage: 0.12€/Kwh
