Happy New Year from Caleta, please excuse me if there are any mistakes this morning a little fragile  🥂🥂🥂

Yesterday was slightly better than forecast

When we got back in the early hours of this morning there was quite a bit of condensation on the outside cushions, at 8am 16c with a fair cloud cover and quite windy.

New Years Day Caleta forecast -
Cloud will clear by 11am to leave a sunny day with temperatures reaching 22c at 2pm and a UV factor of up to 4 at 12 noon
Wind from the NNE to NE all day with speeds 26 to 30Km/h most of the day, dropping back to 24Km/h this evening, so a breezy day in store.

Have a Great New Years Day 😎😎😎

Tindaya AM- bright and clear, acres of blue sky but a very brisk chilly NE wind.

Over to El Cotillo for coffee late morning, weather the same.

Tindaya late afternoon, a lot of haze now in the distance some of which was quite 'dirty', calima perhaps? Cloud started appearing over the hills.

The sun is 'setting' into a bank of cloud, not the sea! Wind still very strong and chilly.

Just had a look at the Calima map and animation and we are sat on the edge of one for about a week - deep joy!

Morning all from Caleta, yesterday was a nice day, the cloud didn't clear completely but was high and thin enough to give a sunny day where the temperature in a sunny sheltered spot got to the mid 30'sC.  By 6pm there was a heavy dew and this morning is the heaviest dew / condensation I have seen in the last 21 months.

6.45am 14c some cloud cover but last nights full moon could make an appearance.

7.45

8.20

Todays forecast -
Cloud to clear by 11am  to leave a sunny day with temperature reaching 23C at 1pm with a UV factor of up to 4 at 12noon
Wind direction will vary between N to ENE at currently 13Km/h to 22Km/h this evening

Lovely bright sunny day although still the dirty haze on the horizon. Wind moved from E to N and back again and was strong and chilly.

In the main I agree with Tamara re yesterday, down in the Caleta area some cloud came in late afternoon but it was still 26C at 5.30pm, whilst there was dew early in the evening it wasn't as heavy as the evening before.

Last nights moon

This morning at 6.45 thin cloud that the moon could be seen through 15c and very little dew / condensation, since then the cloud seems to have thickened.

7.50am

Todays forecast -
Cloud to thin out by 10am and clear by 12noon for a clear afternoon and evening, temperature to reach 22c at 2pm with a UV factor of up to 4 at 12noon
Wind currently from NE at 17Km/h it will stay NE most of day moving NNE then N late afternoon / evening easing to 13Km/h during the afternoon increasing  again during evening to 15Km/h

Tides
High tide  02:41h  2.4 m
Low tide   09:01h  0.3 m
High tide  15:09h  2.3 m
Low tide   21:15h  0.4 m

A bright sunny day with just a hint of breeze from the West, still a dirty haze on the horizon. Wind gathered strength early evening moving between W and NW and brought a shower around midnight.

Better than forecast yesterday here in Caleta, the cloud cleared much sooner than forecast, it was a great evening for The Three Kings Parade

What a difference 80 minutes can make, 9.30am then 10.50

Last evening down at the Harbour

last night there was a forecast for rain about 7 / 8 am and yes it rained at 7.40am and there I s forecast for more this morning so a glass roof cleaning job in store🤣🤣

Todays forecast -
Mix of cloud and sun all day with chance of rain reducing from current 40% to 0% by 1pm, temperature to reach 20C between 1pm and 4pm UV factor of up to 4 at 12noon
Wind from the NW all day 32 to 37Km/h so a breezy day in store.

The showers, heavy at times, continued late into the evening along with the strong NW wind.

At 7am this morning the wind had dropped slightly, there is a mix of cloud, some quite dark, and blue sky feels quite cool at 16c

Todays forecast -
Partly cloudy all day with temperature reaching 20C at 3pm and a UV factor of up to 4 at 12noon, it says no rain but it said that for yesterday afternoon and evening when we had many heavy showers.
Wind from the N / NNW currently 24Km/h but increasing by 12noon to 33Km/h for the rest of the day.

This morning at 7.35am

As I post these picture we are having one those showers 😪😪😪

El Cotillo... Arrived safe and sound to a blustery afternoon here in Cotillo. Judging by the cheering from the stadium, CD El Cotillo were doing well. We visited our favourite lagoons to find that all the seaweed had gone with fresh sand in its place. There were also a few die-hard naturists paddling in the sea. Out of the wind the sun was very warm.

Mix of Corralejo and Tindaya pics.
Pink sunrise then gorgeous sunshine and high cloud, no wind during the day. Band of dirty looking cloud built up over Lanzarote during the afternoon and gradually drifted over the channel. By teatime in Tindaya it was very grey and miserable looking but still warm as no breeze. Drizzle arrived about 7pm and has been on and off ever since. The first of the 'grey' pics features 3 paragliders.
