@El Cotillo  3.30pm
Another cloudy day here with brief spells of sun but feels quite humid.
I manage to capture some photos of racing pigeons from the terrace. If you look closely at the photos you can see that their wings have been dyed red and blue (unless they are a breed I’ve not seen before)

There was a part left off from the landing gear but I still arrived safely yesterday

Tindaya - a grey morning, again. Gorgeous from mid-afternoon. Very light breeze from NE. Lots of bonfires for the eve of San Juan. Missed the actual sun set 'cos of the football.

@El Cotillo
A cool start to the day with hardly any wind with  some condensation overnight.
Have been informed my locals that it’s going to be a hot day.
Looking forward to the game today

Quick Caleta post  off to golf at 8am before game at 1pm

Yesterday much better than forecast cloud cleared by 12 noon to leave a wonderful afternoon and evening with little wind, at 6.30pm it was 40c in the sun and 27c in the shade and the pool water was 27c.

This morning at 7.20am 17c some cloud and the able to see the sunrise for the first time this trip, no wind the palms outside are still.

Todays Caleta forecast -

What cloud there is to clear by noon to leave a sunny afternoon and evening, temperatures in the again in the mid to high 20's C so will feel much hotter in sheltered spots this afternoon, UV factor up to 12 at 1pm and the wind 6mph to 14mph moving from NW to NE during the day.

Have a good one

Thanks Tel501 & Thanks John. I can’t get any of yours John, haven’t for ages & tried logging out & in again etc. I use Safari on my iPad & Microsoft edge on the PC (although rarely, usually iPad). It just struck me as a coincidence that I seemed to stop getting pics after the last crash remix, never had an issue before that. I will try & download another browser for the iPad & see if that makes any difference.

UPDATE: Just tried through Microsoft edge on the iPad & still no pics ☹️☹️

Not that I am aware of Neil, thanks 😁😁

Checked through all settings & all looks ok, only thing I noticed is it doesn’t show green light when I am online !!

Like just now. You are online Neil & green “light” beside your name is on, I am online as well (obviously, lol) but my “green light” isn’t on !! Weird !!

Hi Spitfire, try these, same pic different hosts:

Tinypic:

IMGUR:

Things you could also try that may/may not help:

If you normally stay signed in on the forum try logging out (if you know your log in and password!!), shutting down your pc/tablet whatever, start up again, search for the forum through a browser rather than an existing shortcut/link you may have, log back in. If it works, create a new shortcut.

Or, clear cookies but be prepared for potentially entering lots of logins/passwords for all sorts of sites if appropriate.

Hope something works for you.

Tindaya - beautiful, hottest day so far this year. The breeze moved from N to ENE and actually became a little chilly after sunset.

Tindaya & Corralejo - a lovely bright start but banks of cloud started moving in by 9am. Luckily these didn't hang around and most of the day there were just a few clouds around. Nice and hot with a steady breeze to keep it pleasant.

Not sure how Caleta turned out yesterday as we left for Jandia Golf at 8am and didn't get back until 7pm when it was very pleasant to sit out watching the sunset, Jandia was great and the breeze kept it pleasant for golf.

This morning wall to wall grey cloud 20C with a strong breeze

Todays Caleta forecast -

Cloud to break up slowly during the morning and clear by 3pm for a couple of hours, temperature to reach mid 20's C, UV factor up to 12 at 1pm, wind could be the dominating factor today as it forecast to be from the NE to NNE during the day at 14 to 18mph moving N this evening decreasing back to 15mph

Tindaya - wall to wall grey cloud and no breeze first thing this morning. Cloud soon cleared as breeze picked up. Lots of lovely sunshine although the brisk breeze kept the temps down. Band of cloud sat on western horizon all day and prevented seeing the sunset properly yet again.

Caleta slightly better than forecast yesterday, cloud cleared by midday to leave a lovely afternoon and evening and the wind didn't appear to be as strong as forecast.

This morning broken cloud to the east and heavy grey cloud to the north and west 20C and a brisk wind at 8am.

Todays Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud for most of the day with a clear sky an hour or so about 4pm when the temperature will get up to the mid to high 20'sC, UV factor of up to 12 at 1pm.  Wind from the N 16 to 18 mph during the day moving NNW this evening and decreasing to 12mph during the night.

"A spokesperson for the State Meteorology Agency (Aemet), Ana Casals, this week said that summer this year is forecast to be less hot in the Canary Islands than the last three years, which were generally described as very warm with average temperatures higher than normal.
Summer began this week, and this report by the State Meteorology Agency forecasted that for the whole of Spain 2018 summer will be the least hot for the last four years, except in the east of the Peninsular and in the Balearic Islands, where it is forecast to be warmer, after a cold spring and the rainiest spring over Spain for the last 53 years"

UHH!!?

We had already worked that out!

Island forecast for next ten days.

As always click to enlarge.

Tindaya - beautiful early start quickly became wall to wall cloud but in turn this broke up quite quickly. Strong breeze for most of the day but this has eased right away this evening. (No sunset pic as I was otherwise occupied with the football - not sure why I bothered, very disappointed in the match, hopefully Tuesday's will be better.)

Apart from the football yesterday was much better than forecast weather wise, the cloud went by midday to leave a clear sky for the afternoon and evening however the wind appeared to be much stronger than forecast which actually made it very pleasant

This morning at 7.30 mostly grey cloud with the odd break for the sun to get through a light breeze and 20C

Todays Caleta forecast -

A mix of sun and cloud all day apart from around 7pm when we should have a short spell with a clear sky.  Temperatures to mid to high 20'sC with a UV factor of 12 at 1pm.
Wind from the NNW to NW this morning 5 to 8mph increasing this afternoon and evening up 17mph whilst moving WNW / W

Well yesterdays forecast was wrong!!  wall to wall grey cloud most of the day and the clear spell at 7pm was only probably only 30% blue sky, there was little wind and when the sun did appear it was hot, we did have a couple of drizzle showers lunchtime & late afternoon but not enough to wet the patio.

Last evening temp at 5.40pm, sky at 6.45pm and 8.55pm

This morning at 7am 19C a light breeze and a mixed sky nice broken cloud to the north and east and dark grey clouds to the south and west.

6.55 and sunrise at 7.22am

Todays Caleta forecast -

Cloud to clear by 10am to leave a clear sunny day until early evening (6pm) when some cloud will return, temperatures mid to high 20'sC with a UV factor of up to 12 at 1pm. The wind will be from the NW / N 7 to 9mph during the day increasing slightly to 12mph at 8pm

As an add-on to WG,s report, we were in Antigua having a late lunch with some friends, where although the temp was in the high 20,s, it started a heavy drizzle around 14:30 and it was still raining when we left at 16:15.

Tindaya - Friday.
Wall to wall grey cloud, ground level at times! BBQ at teatime a complete washout, friends gave up and cooked indoors. About 5 hours of heavy drizzle from the West all told - very unpleasant, our terraces were certainly wet!

A much nicer day! Still a lot of cloud at times but lots of blue sky and sun as well. Very light breeze stopped it becoming too hot.
