The haters are out in force I see. Jubilant when job losses are announced? Bitter and twisted .

As most people on this blog will be aware, I am no fan of Dire Air, but 300 is less than 3% of their workforce, and do we know in what areas they are letting people go? H/Office crew or maintenance? hardly the sign of a sinking ship.

They're transferring 6 planes from the Dublin base to the Poland base.  This will affect about 100 Dublin-based pilots and about 200 Dublin-based crew, many of whom may be offered jobs in Poland.  It's a timely reminder to the striking Dublin pilots that their 150-200K salaries aren't too bad at all.

Do you have any documented evidence of the fact that their pilots earn that amount because I know Easy Jets Senior Captain is on £175,000 per anum which in comparison appears low

Of course, it's all on Ryanair's corporate website.

When it's coming from Ryanair I wouldn't believe a word of it  :D If you could read the blanked out parts the payslips probably say "adjustment for withholding 3months salary due to pay disputes"!

Then again I imagine this is just scaremongering. Trying to make a redundancy headline in the middle of strike action is exactly o'leary style, when in reality this was probably planned restructuring following long term growth across the whole of europe. Let's face it, Poland has a booming economy compared to Ireland, and their costs have to be considerably lower too.

When life hands you lemons, make Lemonade. That is o'leary all over, "they brought it on themselves"   ::)

Do you really think the world's biggest international airline would risk its reputation by lying to investors?  Sadly, you don't have a clue.
