Didn't realize till i read the BBC piece that Poland is also under scrutiny for disciplinary proceedings too, but the case has yet to reached the European parliament.

We better get out quick before it all unravels..

Yeah Poland had a referendum on if the EU should be allowed to overturn polish national laws and ultimately say what laws they can and cannot have.

The EU lost so now want to punish Poland.

Have you actually read about what is going on in Hungary?

This is where the EU is a positive force, they are threatening the government there to make them do things right because sometimes the electorate can't do much to stop a corrupt government....

yup, they wont agree to the EU telling them what they can and cannot do.

and the people agree, this was the main reason why brexit happened, we agreed to a trading union, not for the EU to dictate our laws to us.

The corrupt EU lecturing corrupt Hungary on the level of corruption that is admissible. Say that again?

Perhaps Hungary and a few others besides might like to threaten the EU regards it's ridiculous open doors immigration policy and the unaccounted for funds that go missing each year.

I'm sure when Hungary applied for club membership they were not informed Mrs Merkel would throw open their borders to all and sundry.

They know now though...

the issue is, he is going after George Soros interfering, hes going after dumb socialist education programs (removing dumb courses offered on their university system, EG gender studies etc) and other marxist indocrination centers and he's doing all of this while having a huge majority from his people.

the EU hate it when you go against them, they hate it even more when the majority of voters are also behind it (like brexit) which is why we absolutly have to get out, its the socialist mantra that created the mess we are in right now, hungary should be proud to have recognised this and for trying to fix it.

It’s the socialist here who want to censure oban’s administration and the conservatives who won’t support it. His own people protest against him. It’s called democracy, even when you don’t agree with the others views, simply calling anyone you dislike a socialist is pathetic 😎

the irony on this one is awesome, elected politician, elected by his people to run his country doing so with a huge majority vote, being told he can't run his country the way he wants by, you guessed it, a group of unelected (well OK elected by themselves) politicians . . . . . .
